Second baby shower

Tosha and Brooke threw me a second baby shower today and it was so much fun. Everyone loved seeing Sophie either for the first time or for the second or third. Brooke made amazing food, oh my goodness, she is just fantastic! Sophie got so many good presents. Here's some photos from the shower. Thanks everyone for coming!

Little cousins: Remi and Sophie. I told Remi to smile...she wouldn't, and then I said, "Show me your teeth" and this is what she did. :)

My lifelong family friends, Lisa and Tessa Montrose. I just love them! Lisa has known me since I was a little baby like Sophie.

My family. It's amazing how much we look alike when I have straighter hair.

Friends and family at the shower.

Tosha, Summer, and Arina.

Dinner Party

My friends from high school and their husbands came down to Provo last night for a dinner party. We had so much fun! It was great to see everyone again and of course they loved seeing Sophie. It's amazing how quickly time has flown by since high school. Dinner was awesome! Everyone made such good food, we will definitely have to do it again soon!
Rodger trying to do something to our TV...don't ask me what, it's too complicated. He tried for like 20 mins and it didn't work. Thanks for trying though Rodg!

Cortney, Linds, and Ben. Aren't they so cute!

Tanner, Abbie, Sophie, and Mike. Sophie was so good all night long letting people hold her, she didn't make a peep the entire night, just was content with everyone holding her.

Videos of Sophie

Tanner loves to play with our baby. He's comes up with the funniest things and we just have to get them on video. Enjoy!

Tanner massaging Sophie's cheeks while she's completely out.

We received a package from my Aunt Kim for Sophie last week. All her presents came in this big box with foam peanuts and Tanner thought it would be funny to pretend we were returning the presents with another little addition.

St. George

Sophie and I took our first trip to St. George with my family over the weekend. Sadly, Tanner couldn't come and we missed him, but we had fun nonetheless.

The amazing Greek salad we ate at Scaldoni's (an Italian restuarant) in St. George.

My parents being goofy on our walk. My dad is wearing my little sisters hat, that's why he looks so funny :).

All the girls on our family walk.

Our traditional picture in the big rocking chair in Beaver. Sophie's first picture in the chair, one of many to come I'm sure.

Mommy and Baby

Our family went to our BYU married ward for the first time since Sophie was born today. She got to wear her adorable little dress from baby gap and looked absolutely darling.

Pictures of our precious Sophie

At two weeks old Sophie is learning how to use the computer and how to post on our blog :) She's really concentrating...just look at her little forehead wrinkles.

She already likes to look at herself.

So Tanner was sucking on a lemon drop and decided to let Sophie try some...and she really liked it. She kept sucking on the drop and would lick her lips after Tanner took it away so she could savour the flavor.

Tanner feeding her the lemon drop....bad idea, it made her stomach unhappy later but she seemed to like it for the moment.

Sophie has such a hard life...she works so hard to sleep, eat, and poop :).

She must be dreaming something funny.

She loves to lay with her daddy in the lovesac.

Our little family.

Our little angel sleeping in her pack-n-play.

Hannah made Sophie a little tutu for valentines day pictures, isn't she adorable!

She's Daddy's little girl already.

I just love how peaceful she looks here.

Sophie's first smile (I luckily caught it on camera)...she was only two days old in this picture.

Pictures from Hospital

Sophie safe in her Daddy's big hands. Whenever Tanner holds her like this she calms down because she feels safe and secure...even if she doesn't really look like it in this picture.

Obviously, she wasn't too happy after being "evicted" from her warm home she'd been comfortably living in the past nine months.

The nurses and doctors checking to make sure everything was working properly. I think this picture is why Tanner said Sophie had brown curly hair...but she really doesn't, at least not yet.

Tanner took this picture of Sophie and I about 30 seconds before I woke up. Obviously, we were both exhausted from what had just happened during the wee hours of the night.

Our Little Miracle

Sophia Gloria Hansen was born Jan. 29, 2009 at 2:59 am, weighing 7 lbs 11oz. 19.5 inches long. The doctor had to pull her out with forceps so she was a little bruised and coneheaded when she arrived but still beautiful as ever.
